Andrew Johnston, regional managing director at Lovell, said they are 'making good progress' at the site.

"This will be a stunning, exclusive development in a highly desirable part of the county," he said.

"We are already receiving considerable interest from local people and have taken seven reservations.

"It is a good time to reserve and take advantage of being able to personalise your home.”

The development is set to include 12 affordable homes, using shared ownership schemes through LiveWest housing association.

Palmer Snell, estate agents, said seven reservations bought off plan. This is before the show home, which is set to launch in the summer.

Gareth Witcombe, branch manager, added: “This exclusive Cherry Pie Meadow development is selling fast.

"To secure seven full reservations off plan this quickly shows just how popular it will be with local people.”

Lovell is hoping the first people will occupy their homes from the Autumn.
