STRONG winds hit Somerset yesterday afternoon (May 20) and are expected to last until 9pm this evening (May 21).
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for wind earlier this week.

They are advising those who are travelling to take care, as there may be some travel disruption and potential damage caused by strong winds.
"Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry are likely," said a spokesperson for the Met Office.
"It is likely coastal routes will be affected by spray and large waves.
"There could be delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
"And some damage to outdoor temporary structures is possible."

The rain and wind are set to ease overnight tonight, with sunnry spells on Saturday (May 22).
There will be more rain on Sunday (May 23) and Monday (May 24), but Tuesday (May 25) will be dry and bright with just a few scattered showers.
