A LANGPORT man stole a bank card from a neighbour in the same block of flats where he lives.

Richard Wash, 31, of Cheapside, then used the card three times on the same day before he was caught.

Wash, who was given a community order with a six-week curfew when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court, was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting an offence of theft and three counts of fraud.

As well as pleading guilty to theft on August 30 last year, he admitted fraud by withdrawing a total of £110 using the stolen card.

CHARLES Vincent Guest breached a non-molestation order by directly contacting a named person.

Guest, 30, of Chatham Place, Curry Rivel, received a community order after admitting the offence between May and June last year.

He was fine £120 and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge with £85 costs.

A YEOVIL woman has been banned from driving for 26 months for drink driving.

Emma Jane Gardiner, 34, of Larkspur Crescent, pleaded guilty to the offence in the town on August 13 last year.

She also admitted failing to stop following an accident on the same date and was handed a community order and ordered to carry out 180 hours unpaid work.

She must pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs for the drink driving offence.
