AS travel restrictions ease and many of us are getting out more, it might be an idea to check roadworks in the area before you leave the house.
So here is a list of works starting in Somerset this week...
Monday (today):
- Bancombe Road, Somerton - two-way traffic signals for 48 working days - works for new T-junction
- Mary Street, Taunton - Multi-way traffic signals for 43 working days - junction improvement works
- Sparkford Road, Sparkford - Two-way traffic signals for 19 working days - new access and footpath
- Doulting Hill to Farrington Hill, Doulting - 14 working days - footway reconstruction
- Irnham Road, Minehead - road closure for nine working days - resurfacing
- Staple Fitzpaine Road, Staple Fitzpaine - road closure for eight working days - surface repatching
- Old Frome Road & Bolters Lane, Doulting - road closure for three working days - road studds and markings
- Wagon & Horses Hill, Doulting - road closure for three working days - Road studs & markings
- Old Wells Road, Leigh-on-Mendip and Frome - road closure for three working days - Road studds and markings
- Silk Mills Road, Bishops Hull - road closure for two working days - resurfacing
Tuesday:
- Kings Drive, Bridgwater - 13 working days - excavation and reinstatement joint pits
Thursday:
- Solomons Hollow, North Curry - two working days - resurfacing
