“My sister and brother in law were able to stay in the Ronald McDonald House Southampton to be near their baby’s bedside when diagnosed with a pulmonary stenosis and needing specialist treatment,” said Ellie.

“Four years later my sister again needed support from the charity when rushed to Southampton Hospital to be induced when a cyst in my niece Bethany’s chest was detected preventing her lung from inflating.

“Ronald McDonald House Southampton meant my brother in law and their son Toby, who was four at the time, could stay within minutes walk of the hospital to help and support, keeping the family together.

“Without the charity my sister would have really struggled, feeling very lost and alone during what was a horrific, terrifying time.”
