THE M5 motorway has now re-opened following a crash involving a HGV yesterday (March 13).

Highways England announced this morning (March 14) that the repairs are complete and all lane closures have been removed.

A Highways England spokesperson said: "The overnight barrier repairs are now complete and all lane closures have been removed.

"Thank you for your patience."

The collision, between junction 26 (Wellington) and junction 25 (Taunton) involved an overturned HGV that caused "substantial" barrier damage and a diesel spillage.

The driver has been taken to hospital, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening or life-changing.
