NEARLY all those aged over 70 in Somerset have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
According to the figures for Somerset CCG, 99.3 per cent of those aged 70 and over have received their first jab.
And there has been 101,655 doses given out in Somerset so far.
This is the second highest percentage in England (alongside NHS East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG) and just behind NHS North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG, who have given doses to 99.8 per cent of those 70 and over.
These figures are based on vaccinations up to February 14 and are broken down by Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
There are 135 CCGs in England, and they commission most of the hospital and community NHS services in the local areas for which they are responsible.
