SOMERSET has seen nine Covid-19 related deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
People died in each of the four districts in the county council area, according to figures just released.
The deaths of people from any cause within 28 days of a positive test for the virus consisted of four in Somerset West and Taunton; two in South Somerset; two in Sedgemoor; and one in Mendip.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 619 Covid-related deaths in the county council area - 142 in South Somerset; 187 in Somerset West and Taunton; 144 in Sedgemoor; and 146 in Mendip.
