Latest Covid deaths in Somerset
FIGURES released this afternoon show another four people with Covid-19 have died in the Somerset county council area in the latest 24-hour period.
Of those, three people have lost their lives in the Sedgemoor district and one in Mendip.
The overall number of deaths per district now stand at 140 in South Somerset; 179 in Somerset West and Taunton; 139 in Sedgemoor; and 142 in Mendip.
The death toll in the county since the start of the pandemic has risen to 590.
The deaths are from any cause of people who have tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days.
