LIDL is alerting customers that it is recalling its Birchwood XXL Pork Mince (12% fat) product as it may contain pieces of plastic.
The recall covers its stores in England, Taunton, Wales and Scotland
It is deemed that the possible presence of plastic make the product, which has a use by date of February 13, "unsafe to eat".
A Food Standards Agency spokesperson said: "Lidl GB is recalling the above product.
"Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.
"These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
The added: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it.
"Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."
