Latest Covid deaths in Somerset
SOMERSET has suffered a further five Covid-related deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
It takes the total number of people who have died with the disease in the county council area since the start of the pandemic to 593.
The latest deaths from any cause of people in Somerset who had tested positive for the coronavirus within the past 28 days were one in South Somerset; three in Somerset West and Taunton; and one in Mendip.
There were no Covid-19 deaths in Sedgemoor.
The overall total of deaths in each district now stand at 140 in South Somerset; 179 in Somerset West and Taunton; 133 in Sedgemoor; and 141 in Mendip.
