A FORMER district council leader is to face trial accused of a total of 36 historical indecent assaults against three girls.
Ric Pallister has been summoned to appear before a judge and jury at Taunton Crown Court on September 6.
He is accused of indecently assaulting one girl aged under 14, another aged under 15 and one over 16 between 1983 and 2004.
Pallister, 73, of East Chinnock, the former leader of South Somerset District Council from 2011 to 2018, during which time he represented the Parrett ward, has denied all the charges.
He represented the Parrett ward
Pallister is currently on bail.
