THERE have been four deaths in 24 hours of people in Somerset with Covid-19, according to the latest daily figures.
Following yesterday's figures, when no deaths were recorded in Somerset, the number of people dying in the county council area within 28 of testing positive for the virus appears to be slowing.
Of the latest people to pass away with the coronavirus, one was in South Somerset, another one in Sedgemoor and two in Mendip. There have been no Covid-related deaths recorded in Somerset West and Taunton over the past 48 hours.
The district totals for people with Covid dying from any cause since the start of the pandemic are now 137 in Sedgemoor; 171 in Somerset West and Taunton; 133 in Sedgemoor; and 137 in Mendip.
The overall county council area total has risen to 578.
