A TOTAL of 13 people with Covid-19 have died in Somerset in the latest 24-hour figures released this afternoon (Wednesday) by the Government.
The worst hit district was again Somerset West and Taunton, which has lost a further seven lives to the virus.
The total number of people who have passed away in Somerset West and Taunton since the start of the pandemic has now reached 160.
That figure is based on people dying from any cause within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus.
South Somerset saw two deaths in the latest daily figures, taking the overall toll there to 131 since the start of the pandemic.
Three people died in Sedgemoor, which has now recorded 124 Covid-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Mendip had one death, and its total has now gone up to 126.
