TWO outbuildings caught fire last night in Yeovilton.

Six fire crews were called to the blaze on Pyle Lane at 9.06pm yesterday (February 2).

One outbuilding made from wood measuring 6m x 4m was 40 per cent damage by fire, and another outbuilding measuring 4m x 4m was 20 per cent damaged by fire.

There was also a pick up truck that was 70 per cent damaged by fire.

"Equipment used included four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two covering jets, one compressed air foam jet and two thermal imaging cameras," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.

"Crews from Yeovil, Martock, Somerton, Wincanton, Castle Cary, Street and Sherborne attended this incident along with supporting officers providing different roles.

"The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental."
