MANY clients and caregivers at a company in Yeovil have now received their coronavirus vaccines.

Home Instead Yeovil looks after seniors in their own homes, and when some clients couldn't get to their Covid-19 vaccinations, the staff took them to the appointments.

As a result, the vast majority of caregivers and an increasing number of clients have now received their jabs.

Rebecca Gray, owner of Home Instead Yeovil, said: “As a medical professional, I am a huge advocate of vaccinations, especially one that will protect us from Covid-19.

"The disease has forced many seniors to alter their lifestyles drastically over the past year, and it is absolutely delightful that many will be able to return to some sort of normality in the near future.

“Not only are we over-the-moon that our elderly clients are being vaccinated, but we are also thrilled that our own caregivers have been placed in the priority group.

"They put their health on the line everyday to care for others, and have demonstrated their roles as key workers throughout the pandemic.

“They say the darkest part of the night is just before dawn, and this is how our caring team has felt recently.

"Our team can take comfort that the light at the end of the tunnel is not too far away.”

Home Instead provides home care services throughout Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridgport, keeping seniors safe and well in the comfort of their own homes.
