AMBULANCE crews based in Ilminster have reported a "massive rise" in "really poorly"
Covid-19 patients since the weekend.
The local ambulance station has taken to social media to urge people to adhere to the current lockdown restrictions.
The post says: "Our crews have seen a massive rise in the number of really poorly (!) COVID patients over the last 48 hours.
"Please think twice before ‘popping’ to the shops.
"Leave the house only when you really need to.
"Wear a mask at all times and make sure you are washing your hands.
"We need your support more than ever right now so that we can continue to respond to our most urgent calls as quickly as possible.
"Thank you for all your support so far and for adhering by the rules as best as you can."
