NEARLY 100 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed across four Somerset districts in the latest daily figures
The county council area experienced 93 positive tests for the virus in the latest 24 hour period in figures released on behalf of the Government today (November 22).
Of those new confirmed cases, South Somerset and Mendip both saw big increases.
In Mendip there were 31 new cases taking its overall total of 748 cases and in South Somerset, with a rise of 32, taking its overall total to 1,298.
Sedgemoor had 21 new cases, taking its overall total to 1,389 and there were 9 positive tests in Somerset West and Taunton, where the total has risen to 1,367.
The 128 new confirmed cases in Somerset mean there have been a total of 4,799 positive tests in the county council area.
