CORONAVIRUS cases are still rising each day in the four Somerset districts.

There have been 136 positive tests in the last 24-hours up to 5pm yesterday (November 14).

South Somerset saw the largest increase with 51 new cases, whereas Mendip only had 22.

There were 34 new cases in Sedgemoor and 29 in Somerset West and Taunton.

The totals in each district - since the pandemic began - are as follows:

  • Mendip - 700
  • Sedgemoor - 1,199
  • Somerset West and Taunton - 1,274
  • South Somerset - 1,127

The number of deaths in the four Somerset districts - since the pandemic began - are as follows:

  • Mendip - 21
  • Sedgemoor - 58
  • Somerset West and Taunton - 39
  • South Somerset - 37

These are the number of people who have died within 28 days of the first positive test.
