THERE was only a minor change in the Covid-19 rate of infection in Somerset in the latest figures.
According to the Government, there were 367 new confirmed cases of the virus in the county in the latest seven-day period figures released yesterday evening (Thursday).
The rate per 100,000 of population in the county council area equates to 65.3
The seven-day figures for the individual district, with the previous day's figures in brackets, are:
MENDIP: 54 new cases (54) and a rate of 46.7 per 100,000 (46.7);
SEDGEMOOR: 115 new cases (113), rate 93.4 (91.7);
SOMERSET WEST AND TAUNTON: 118 new cases (119), rate 76.1 (76.7);
SOUTH SOMERSET: 80 new cases (77), rate 47.5 (45.7).
