A 60-YEAR-OLD motorbike will go under the hammer this month - with an estimated price of £25,000 - £27,000.

The 1956 Norton Manx is being offered for sale by a collector in Preston, Lancashire, and comes to auction in an original and unrestored condition.

It is part of a vast array of motorcycles going under the Charterhouse hammer in their online auction of classic and vintage motorbikes on Wednesday, October 28.

“There are some great pre- and post-war motorbikes from barn stored basket cases to perfect concours condition motorcycles,” said auctioneer Richard Bromell.

“We have had entries from up and down the country.

“This, combined with estimates from £500 to £30,000 means there will be something of interest for every motorbike enthusiast.”
