THERE were 14 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Somerset, marking the second consecutive day of a double digit increase.
The district of Somerset West & Taunton saw seven additional cases of coronavirus confirmed, taking the total there to 499.
There were four new cases in Mendip and three more positive tests in South Somerset.
Across the UK, there were 6,634 confirmed cases of Covid-19 - the highest single day increase recorded so far.
There have now been 1,540 total incidents of coronavirus in Somerset.
