TAUNTON Fire Station has issued photos of the incident that closed a service station on the M5 yesterday (Tuesday).
Vehicles were barred from the Taunton Deane Services northbound for a number of hours following a spillage incident.
The car park and the services were closed after a corrosive liquid was reported leaking from a tipper truck.
Firefighters and police officers were at the scene throughout the afternoon.
Cones were set up on the slip road to prevent drivers accessing the site between Junctions 26 (Wellington) and 25 (Taunton).
Environment Agency staff in Hazmat suits were also on site.
The southbound services were not affected.
The services re-opened later in the evening.
