TAUNTON Town have announced a seventh new signing of the summer, with Joe Guest coming in from fellow Southern League Premier South side Yate Town.

The 23-year-old plays in the centre of midfield and made 28 appearances for Yate last season, helping the Bluebells beat Taunton home and away - playing alongside Luke Spokes, who has also made the switch to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.

Even as a young player, Guest has experience of playing for Chipping Sodbury Town and Paulton Rovers as well as Yate.

He joins Aaron Bentley, Gethyn Hill, Toby Holmes, Owen Howe, Lee Lucas and Jake Wannell as new recruits by the Peacocks this summer.

Taunton boss Rob Dray has also secured the signature of Dan Sullivan, who becomes the 10th player from 2019/20 to stay with the club.

The versatile forward has scored 47 goals in 119 appearances since joining the Peacocks in September 2017.
