POLICE have thrown the book at a motorist following a car chase earlier today (Tuesday).
The pursuit in Chard came to a halt when the driver pulled over.
Officers, with a Taser drawn and ready, grabbed the motorist's keys.
DC Sam Donati said thankfully no-one was injured.
But the driver has been reported for the "full set" - dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, failing to stop when ordered to do so by a police officer, driving without a licence and without insurance.
The car was seized.
