THE owners of Chard Bookshop are welcoming customers back in this week, and will be giving away 100 £5 vouchers to customers spending £10 or more.
Stevie Kesham and Ryan Whittaker are welcoming customers back this morning with the special offer.
Stevie said: "We have no idea how the next couple of months will pan out. We trust that after such a time of long solitude people have realised how important their local shops and businesses are to them. Their support goes such a long way and keeps community spirit alive."
The shop has had to limit customers to two in at a time, and placed hand sanitizer at the door.
"I am beyond thrilled to get to open to all my sweet customers again," Stevie added.
"I cannot believe how long it’s already been. While we want to maintain the same lovely atmosphere whilst shopping in our bookshop, how we all shop is going to change for a while.
"We’re very lucky to still be afloat after this massive hit to all independent business. We have no idea what lies ahead but your orders and custom make this possible and we are so, so thankful.
"Please support your local shops. We need it now more than ever."
