A TOTAL of 24 new confirmed Covid-19 cases were recorded in Somerset in the latest 24-hour period.
There have now been a total of 781 confirmed cases in the area covered by the county council up to 5pm yesterday (Thursday), according to Public Health England.
The figure is a drop on yesterday's 42 confirmed new cases, but still represents an increase on recent recorded figures.
There have been 304 cases in Somerset West and Taunton (up 15); 218 in Sedgemoor (an increase of 3);194 in South Somerset (up by 5); and 65 in Mendip (a rise of 1).
