PHONE company BT could be hit with a massive fine for three breaches of the law during works it carried out in Kingston St Mary.
The firm admitted the offences in Yarford Road on August 7 last year during a hearing at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
It has pleaded guilty to not putting place traffic signs to direct members of the public and failing to comply with the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice 2013.
BT further admitted failing to apply for a legal order to close the road to carry out the works.
And it pleaded guilty to carrying out those works without giving advance notice of the works to the street authority.
The case was unable to proceed last week due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and was adjourned until June 29..
A sentence date has not yet been confirmed.
