JUST read that letter from Val ('We are already alert', Postbag, May 14) and it is quite amusing how she picks up on the PM having shifty eyes, but nothing about the Leader of the Opposition using his abacus, asking how many numbers of deaths, how many care home deaths, being to slow on everything, instead of being constructive. Why can he not give some alternative advice, not just point scoring?

As a nation I am sure everyone feels regret about the numbers of deaths but we do not need reminding from Kier Starmer as to what those figures are. Nobody asked for this or foresaw it.
Just let the Government get on with it and give some credit where credit is due to the NHS.
As we say now, stay alert, save lives.
