THE people of Taunton would appear to be remarkably disciplined in adhering to the government's social distancing advice - with photos showing very few residents out and about on Easter Sunday.

On Friday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Easter weekend would be 'a test of the nation's resolve' in the battle against coronavirus - urging people to resist the temptation to visit local beaches and parks in the fine weather.

And it would appear the overwhelming majority are supporting NHS workers by avoiding non-essential travel, with Taunton's town centre and main parks generally looking very quiet.
