A CAR fire on the A30 is believed to have been caused deliberately.
Firefighters from Chard were called at 5.51am today (February 23) by residents in Snowdon Hill who said they could see a fire on the A30 going out of Chard.
One fire appliance from Chard was sent to the scene and upon arrival on scene this was found to be a car fire , well alight.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish plus a thermal imaging camera.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, said: "This was believed to be a deliberate ignition. Police have been passed all details and they will investigate it."
