FIRE crews tackled a fire in the roof space of a home in a village near Taunton yesterday evening (Sunday).

Two fire engines from Taunton and one from Bridgwater, as well as an aerial platform from Bridgwater, attended the fire in White Street, North Curry, at around 6pm.

The fire was extinguished using breathing apparatus, CO2 extinguishers, a short triple extension ladder, a thermal image camera and small tools.

Western Power also attended to isolate the electricity supply.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The damage was confined to the fuse board. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental."
