CCTV images of two men and a car have been released by police as they continue their investigation into an aggravated burglary in Martock.

On Sunday, November 24, Three men forced their way into a house, assaulted one of its occupants and threatened others with weapons, including a hammer.

The incident happened at around 9am.

Having previously appealed for witnesses, police are now issuing CCTV images of two men and a car.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Russell Head said: “Do you recognise either of the men? Can you tell us who owns the car?

“The victims moved out of their home following this incident as they were so traumatised by it and we need the public’s help to identify those responsible.”

When the initial appeal was made, DC Head said: "This was a shocking incident and we’re taking it very seriously.

“The victims don’t know why they were targeted and have been left so traumatised by what happened they have moved out of their home.

“We’re keeping them updated with the progress of our investigation and ensuring they’ve the support they need.

“As part of our inquiry we’ve visited neighbouring properties to identify witnesses and are reviewing CCTV from the area.

“We also need the public’s help and I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time who may have witnessed the incident or seen something suspicious."
