A MAN who swindled £112.25 using a stolen four times on the same day in Taunton has been jailed for four weeks.
Jamie Kenneth William Coles, 40, used the Santander card to make a contactless purchase of £28.05 at Tesco Express, in East Reach; he then used the card to buy items costing £29.72 from Sainsbury's, in Billet Street; and he carried out two fraudulent transactions for £54.48 at the Shell petrol station, in Priory Bridge Road.
Taunton Magistrates' Court heard that the offences all took place in the town on September 19.
Coles, who appeared via Videolink from Exeter Prison, was jailed for two weeks on each count, with the sentences to be served concurrently.
He was handed another two weeks behind bars to run consecutively after admitting receiving stolen goods.
Coles was ordered to pay £112.25 compensation.
