BRIDGWATER Town came out on top away to Cribbs on Saturday, after a see-saw game which saw four goals scored inside 12 first-half minutes.

Jack Taylor, Tom Ellis and Dave O'Hare got the goals for the Robins, as they fought back from 2-1 down before seeing out a goalless second half.

The visitors began brightly, with O'Hare forcing a save from the home goalkeeper after some neat build-up play, and they were rewarded with the opening goal in the ninth minute.

Steve Murray was the creator, beating the full-back and crossing for Taylor to turn the ball home.

But Cribbs then struck back with two goals in as many minutes.

On 25 minutes, following a save from Robins keeper Jake Viney, the ball was kept alive and Joe White crossed for Ed Harrison to head home.

A minute later it was 2-1, as the same pairing combined again - White with the cross and Harrison flicking the ball past Viney.

Thankfully for the visitors they were level within 10 minutes of falling behind, and again it was Murray with the assist, as his 35th-minute corner was headed in by centre-back Ellis.

Two minutes after that, Bridgwater were ahead, with Jake Llewellyn's free-kick finding O'Hare, and the midfielder heading into the net.

Chances came and went for both sides after half-time, with Murray seeing a shot from the edge of the box strike the outside of the post shortly before the hour mark, and having another effort saved a few minutes later.

The hosts piled forward late on, but struggled to create clear chances, aside from forcing a save from Viney in stoppage time.

The win keeps the Robins third in the Premier Division standings, 10 points behind leaders Bradford Town and seven off second-placed Plymouth Parkway.

Next for Bridgwater is a trip to Wells City in the Les Phillips Cup on Tuesday (ko 7.30pm), followed by a FA Vase third round tie away to Bradford Town next Saturday (3pm).
