A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash on the A38 between Bridgwater and Taunton last night (Sunday, November 17).
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision between a motorcycle and car which happened on the A38 at Thurloxton at about 5pm.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A motorcycle was in collision with a car, which resulted in the motorcyclist suffering serious injuries.
"He sadly died at the scene shortly afterwards.
"The road was closed to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.
"It was re-opened shortly before 4am this morning.
"We’re keen to hear from anyone who was on the A38 at the time of the collision who may have information or dash cam footage of the incident.
"Anyone able to help is asked to call us quoting 5219/266308."
The road was closed in both directions for several hours between Walford Cross and Moon Lane due to the serious collision near Thurloxton Fruit Farm.
