TAUNTON Town will face Metropolitan Police or Biggleswade Town in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy – but only if they beat Aveley in tonight's replay.
The teams drew 3-3 on Saturday, with Jamie Price, Harry Kite and Ryan Brett scoring for the hosts at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.
It means that the Peacocks must travel up to Essex tonight, a round trip of 420 miles, with progress to the next round and £3,000 in prize money up for grabs.
Taunton go without leading scorer Andrew Neal (10 goals this season), as the yellow card he picked up on Saturday was his second in the competition this season, and he is therefore suspended.
Fellow forward Dan Sullivan returns, however, after being unavailable on Saturday.
Should the Peacocks triumph tonight, they will travel to face the winner of the replay between Metropolitan Police and Biggleswade Town, who drew 2-2 on Saturday.
Met Police are in Taunton's division – Southern League Premier South – while Biggleswade are in Southern League Premier Central.
That tie is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 23, with £3,750 on offer to the winning side.
