A CHAINSAW, garden strimmers and a fishing rods are among a number of items seized by police.

The equipment is all believed to be stolen, said Avon and Somerset Police, and work is now underway to reunite them with the original owners.

No one has been arrested in relation to the incident.

A spokesman for the force said: "We have recently recovered the following items from a vehicle in Ashill, Ilminster.

"An Orange HUSQVARNA E series 440 chainsaw, a STIHL FSA 65 garden strimmer, a STIHL FS 56R garden strimmer, two fishing rods in green holdalls and a fishing net."

One of the fishing rods is an Avanti Electric Blue, while the other is unbranded.
