THE list of awards and achievements reaped by the Consone Quartet is no less remarkable than the individual honours achieved by the group’s own four founding members - Agata Daraskaite, Magdalena Loth-Hill, Elitsa Bogdanova and George Ross.

The Consone Quartet explores classical and early romantic repertoire on period instruments. Their list of awards includes the 2016 Royal Over-Seas League Ensemble Prize in London, plus two prizes at the 2015 York Early Music International Young Artists Competition.

The Consone Quartet is rapidly gaining international recognition performing in France, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and in spring 2018 they toured in South America performing across Bolivia and Peru.

Catherine Maddocks, founder and director of Concerts in the West, said: “In 2015 the Consone Quartet delighted audiences in the West Country with their interpretation of classical and early romantic repertoire on period instruments.

"This prize winning group of young and exceptionally talented musicians is rapidly gaining international recognition, performing all over Europe and recently in Bolivia and Peru.”

The Consone Quartet will be at Ilminster Arts Centre on November 1 at 7:30pm.

They will be at The Dance House in Crewkerne on November 2 at 7:30pm. To book email concertsinthewest@gmail.com
