A ROAD scheduled to be closed until Friday has reopened ahead of schedule.
Trull Road was set to be closed for 33 days from August 19 from the junction to Mount Nebo to the Belmont Drive junction.
Western Power Distribution was carrying out works to replace an electricity substation.
The closure has caused some issues around the town, making surrounding Parkfield Road, where there is also a primary school, busier at peak times.
At the time of the closure, Somerset County Council said: “We appreciate there will be disruption for residents and motorists while this work by WPD takes place and would advise drivers to factor possible delays into their journey times during this period.”
But to the joy of motorists in the area, the road has reopened ahead of time as drivers were able to use it from the beginning of this week.
