THE October Concerts in the West classical music tour features two of the UK’s most talented young musicians, Nathaniel Boyd and Simon Lane, who will be playing at Ilminster Arts Centre and The Dance House Crewkerne.

The cellist Nathaniel Boyd is an artist of many talents - not only is he an internationally recognised chamber musician and soloist who has appeared at the world’s leading concert halls, he is also a committed painter and sculptor.

Simon Lane has gained recognition for his compelling and sensitive performances, and has collaborated with many of the world’s most exciting musicians including Danielle de Niese, Iestyn Davies, Allan Clayton, Guy Johnston and Jack Liebeck.

Catherine Maddocks, founder and director of Concerts in the West, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Nathaniel Boyd, who we heard when he came to play with the Albion Quartet. We are also pleased to invite back Simon Lane, who performed for us in 2015.”

The pair will be performing at Ilminster Arts Centre on October 4 and at The Dance House in Crewkerne on October 4. To find out more visit www.concertsinthewest.org
