A GROUP of walkers completed a 20 mile trek across Somerset to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West
ON Saturday (July 27) 12 walkers met at the Ritz Social Club set off from Axbridge Square and walked along the Strawberry Line to pick up the steep incline of Crooks Peak.
They then continued through Loxton towards Bleadon taking a well deserved break at the Queens Arms.
After lunch the group walked down Accommodation Road in Bleadon and picked up the Brean Down cycle path before walking along Burnham Beach to the Ritz.
Paul Hale, manager of the Ritz, said he is expecting more than £1000 in sponsorship money to come in over the next few weeks.
He said: “There were varying degrees of age groups and fitness amongst the walkers but they all successfully completed the challenge.”
