A FREE afternoon of live music will take place in Highbridge tomorrow.

On Sunday (August 4) bands from across Somerset will be performing at Highbridge Recreation Ground in Southwell Gardens from 12.15pm to 5.15pm.

The event, which is being organised by the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society is free to attend and Mike Murphy, organiser of the event, said it promises to be a great afternoon of live music.

He said: "This year we have got some great bands performing at Music at the Rec including Three Hard Boiled Eggs, Keith O'Connell, The Lampelleys, Rouge, Mel and Ollie from Drop the Mic and headliners The Railways Sleepers.

"We will also be selling real ales, cider, ice creams, burgers and there will be kidzone as well as stalls.

"We have been putting on more and more events in Burnham and Highbridge and they have been getting bigger every year.

"It is great that Highbridge has a social music event for people to go and we are looking forward to seeing as many people there as possible."
