WITNESSES are being sought after two men were injured following two disorder incidents in Burnham-on-Sea.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police were called to reports of an altercation involving a large group of people on Marine Drive at approximately 3.30am on July 14.

But when officers arrived at the scene, several members of the group made off.

Soon afterwards, police were called to attend another disturbance in the car park of The Lighthouse Inn in Highbridge Road.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said two men needed hospital treatment for injuries sustained during the incidents.

"A 27-year-old man had a broken finger and nose as well as a fractured skull," the spokesman said.

"A 29-year-old man had minor head injuries including needing stitches to a cut to his ear.
