ENJOY an evening of theatre beneath the skies next month.

Somerset Rural Life Museum welcomes Chapterhouse Theatre Company for an evening of theatre as part of the company’s 20th anniversary tour.

A favourite of Chapterhouse audiences, Pride and Prejudice follows the story of Jane Austen’s famous heroine, Elizabeth Bennet.

Take a step back in time to Georgian England to see Elizabeth meet the abrupt Mr Darcy. Although she loathes him at first, could there be more to him than meets the eye?

Brought to life by the awardwinning writer, Laura Turner, this adaption showcases the bold and exciting story created by one of the greatest female novelists.

Susie Simmons from the Museum said: “Visitors can bring their own picnic and bask in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum courtyard. The event promises to be one of the most enchanting this summer.”

See Pride and Prejudice on August 4 at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury.

Gates will open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm. Tickets cost £16.
