TWO more Chard stores are in with the chance of bringing a Muddy Stiletto award to the town.

Last week, it was revealed that town centre cafe Eleos had been nominated for a prize.

Now, florists Floweringi and business newcomer Chard Eco Deli have also been nominated.

They were both first put forward by Chard resident Pauline Laughton.

She said: “I nominated Floweringi as it seems to me the shop has everything you could wish for in a florist.

“Inviting outside displays a warm welcome as soon as you open the door with a tempting range of beautifully displayed flowers and plants.

“Ingrid has such a passion and enthusiasm for her hobby which recently became her work.”

The two shops are yet to find out if they have made it to the next round of voting.

Marisa Bento of Chard Eco Deli said: “When I found out about the nomination I had just got home from school run and was about to log out Facebook for the evening and saw a notification from Muddy Stilettos saying the shop had been nominated - I had to do a double take as couldn’t believe it.

“It is an amazing honour and quite humbling to have been nominated for a Best Newcomer award.

“Going through to the next stage would be an incredible achievement as only five businesses out of hundreds will go through.”

The next round of voting opens today (May 15).
