NATIONAL Trust places in South Somerset are offering the perfect opportunity for a spot of exploring this Spring.

Over the Easter weekend, April 19 until 22 from 11am until 4pm, the National Trust teams at Barrington Court and Lytes Cary Manor will be welcoming everyone to take part in the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt (£2.50 per person). Hop along with the whole family, follow the clues and finish your adventure with a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat.

Visitors can make the most of the weather and fresh air throughout the school holidays as well. At Barrington Court the family-friendly springtime trail, April 6 until 22 from 10:30am until 4pm, will lead you out into the wider parkland, where you can learn how to care for Barrington’s beautiful natural habitats.

Chard & Ilminster News:

Head down to the Explorers’ trail on the Lytes Cary Manor estate and find out more about the animals that live there, from April 6 until 23, 10.30am until 5pm.

Senior Visitor Experience Officer, Amy Callaghan, said: “Spring is such a beautiful time to get out and about in South Somerset. With signs of new life and fresh growth everywhere, it’s great to be outdoors and take a dive into nature. The added excitement of the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt means there is lots of fun to be had and by taking part, visitors are helping to support all the conservation work that the National Trust does to care for places like Lytes Cary Manor, Barrington Court and Montacute House.”
