THE cold and wet weather failed to dampen spirits at Taunton Racecourse's Ladies Day meeting on Thursday afternoon.
There were plenty of fancy hats on show at the Orchard Portman course, ahead of the big racing event of the year – the Grand National at Aintree – on Saturday.
Cotswold Way (trained by Phillip Hobbs) and Eur Gone West (David Pipe) were among the big winners on an exciting day of action.
Taunton's final event of the 2019 season is the C&S Electrical Evening Meeting, on Wednesday, April 24.
