Somerset League Division 1

Neptune 43, Spears 36

NEPTUNE stormed ahead at the start of the match against Spears as shooters Katie Harris (GS) and Izzy Innalls (GA) took the lead to 17-8.

They maintained this pace with centre court players Chris Durant (C) and Cerys Ethridge (WA) bringing the ball down the court successfully.

Amy Miller (WD) made timely interceptions which stopped the flow of the Spears game.

The final quarter saw Emily Harwood (GK) and Sally Haysham (GD) having to work really hard to keep the ball out of the opposition shooting end but, despite this effort, Neptune allowed Spears to scored more goals in this quarter.

Fortunately, Neptune had built enough of a lead to control the game and take the win.
