THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for heavy fog across Somerset.
As people prepare to go about their business this morning, the forecaster warns journeys on public transport could be delayed, with the fog making driving conditions treacherous.
A forecaster said: "A chilly start to the day with frost and some locally dense patches of fog.
"These will clear through the morning to leave a fine day with long spells of warm sunshine and light winds. Maximum temperature 16C."
He said falling temperatures would see mist and fog return overnight into Saturday.
"Remaining dry overnight with clear skies and light winds allowing patchy mist, fog and frost to return for some, with some locally dense patches by dawn," the forecaster added.
